What information we collect
When you subscribe to the free Dino Dispatch, we collect your email address and ask you to confirm your subscription. If you contact us, we receive the name, email address, organisation (if provided), enquiry type and message you choose to send. When you vote, we count your choice and temporarily use a one-way hash of your IP address to limit repeat voting for 24 hours. When you choose to open a linked quiz on ScoreApp, that service handles your quiz responses under its own privacy information.
Why we use it
We use contact details to answer enquiries and manage relationships (our legitimate interests in operating the site). We send the free Dino Dispatch only when you separately sign up for it, and you can unsubscribe using the link in an edition or the contact form. We use technical data where needed to deliver and secure the site. Optional analytics or advertising technologies will follow the choices described in our Cookies notice.
Who receives it
Only people working on DinoFanHQ and service providers needed to host the site, manage email, or run an activity will access relevant information. We do not sell subscriber lists. A sponsored feature does not give its sponsor your contact details; a separate opt-in would be required for any direct sharing. We may disclose information when required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe, subject to a limited suppression record so we honour your choice. We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and manage any follow-up, then review them for deletion. Technical logs and activity data are kept only as needed for security and operation; hosting and email providers may also retain service logs under their own policies.
International services and security
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer takes place, we use an applicable safeguard or adequacy arrangement. We take reasonable steps to limit access and protect information, though no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to some uses, restrict processing or withdraw consent where it applies. Use our contact form. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
How the site works
Contact form submissions are sent privately to our team; the recipient address is not displayed. Confirmed Dino Dispatch subscriptions are stored in WordPress. Our hosting provider supplies site infrastructure, and linked ScoreApp quizzes are operated on that platform. If optional analytics or advertising services are added, this notice and our Cookies notice will be updated to identify how they use information.

Quiz results and unfinished quizzes
When you start a quiz, we use your first name, email address, answers and score to provide the quiz, save your progress and deliver your results. If you leave it unfinished, we may send one factual email after the configured inactivity period, normally 24 hours, with a private link to continue. We do not use this email to promote other quizzes, subscriptions or offers. It does not subscribe you to the Dino Dispatch, which has its own optional consent.
We rely on our legitimate interests in providing and supporting the quiz you started for this service notification, taking account of your reasonable expectations and your rights. You may object to this processing through our contact form; the email also includes a stop link. Your acceptance of our Terms is not marketing consent.
Private results and resume links are valid for 30 days. Completed quiz records are normally retained for up to 90 days. Unfinished attempts eligible for a service email are retained for up to 30 days, or until a sent resume link expires. Our hosting and configured mail providers process this information to deliver the service. Public score cards, if you choose to share one, display the quiz and result without your name, email or answers and expire after 90 days. Downloadable PDFs are generated in your browser and are not stored on our server.
